Amin's focus lies on European AI governance, particularly the regulation of general-purpose AI within the context of the EU AI Act. He has conducted research projects with the University of Oxford, the Weizenbaum Institute, and the Bertelsmann Foundation. Amin avidly seeks to inform policymakers through his work, which has been presented in hearings to the German Parliament, consultations with various political parties, and at several conferences, such as the Re:Publica and the European Forum Alpbach. Amin began his professional career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he had the opportunity to develop data-driven software solutions and digital strategies for government.
