Jonathan is building a career profile aimed at positively shaping AI policy in the European Union. He recently completed an AI Policy Fellowship at the Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT) Europe. During his fellowship, he focused on analyzing the EU AI Act and helped formulate CDT's EU AI strategy. Through close contact with EU institutions and civil society, Jonathan realized the critical need for technical expertise in governing AI systems. Therefore, his research at IAPS will have a technical focus, specifically on mechanistic interpretability or model evaluations, to build his expertise. Previously, Jonathan also conducted research on market concentration in the cloud computing sector.
