Vinay is a fellow working on policy and standards at IAPS with a background in software and ML engineering. Previously, he helped to teach and build content for leading AI safety engineering programs including the Machine Learning for Alignment Bootcamp, directing skilled engineers into cutting-edge AI alignment engineering work, along with contributing to independent AI interpretability software projects. Vinay has also worked as a software engineer and a teaching assistant for several university machine learning courses, completing a degree in computer science and cognitive science from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in computational neuroscience from ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich.
